How is embodied carbon calculated?
From the same measured take-off quantities as the cost plan. Where a carbon factor is supplied for a material, embodied carbon is calculated line by line and reported alongside cost with its coverage and factor source; factors are never assumed.
What if carbon factors are not available for every material?
The report states the coverage explicitly — not calculated, partial or complete — and lists the lines without a factor, so the client and certifier know exactly what the figure includes.
How are environmental obligations managed?
