Straight answers before you appoint.

When is independent construction consulting worth engaging?

Before a decision is locked in — a site purchase, a builder's price, a contract signature or a dispute position. ACC reviews what exists, tests the assumptions behind it and sets out the options with the evidence, so the decision is made on an independent view rather than on the delivery team's account of it.

What does ACC actually review?

Project status, methodology and documentation; preliminary cost planning and construction pricing; programme and critical path using PERT-based estimating; the contract and commercial position against AS 4000 / AS 4902 style conditions; and the risks, with registers, controls and escalation aligned with NSW obligations.

What do I receive at the end of a consulting engagement?

A written position report with findings and recommendations, plus the supporting documents the engagement calls for — a cost plan or pricing review with its basis and exclusions stated, a programme and critical-path summary, a risk register with owners and review dates, and a decision memo for the board or investment committee.

Can ACC review a project that is already under construction?

Yes. An existing-project review looks at where the project actually stands — progress, cost exposure, claims, programme and records — and reports what is verified and what is not, so the owner can act while options to recover cost or time may still be open.

How is a consulting engagement scoped and priced?

The scope of every engagement is defined in a written proposal or consultancy agreement so you know what is included before work starts. Submit an enquiry on this page and an ACC consultant will come back to you with a reference number and the next step.
